I AM ONE YEAR OLD!

I really cannot believe this day is here. A year ago I had a new baby that was 2 hours old and who I barely knew. I loved him the moment I found out I was pregnant, loved him more than I could imagine when I first saw him, and have grown to love him this year more and more as he grows into a little boy. Tayler is a sweet, wonderful, amazing little boy. He is healthy happy and thriving! I am sad that the year of "firsts" is over but even more excited for the "seconds." I remember asking my mom sometime what she saw me doing with my life and her answer was, "being a mom." At the time I was disappointed with her answer. Now, several years later, that's what I am. Being a stay at home mom is the hardest occupation I have had. It is 24 hours a day and not about me at all. It is trying, lonely, and every day I have to give all of myself. But out of it I have the satisfaction that my little boy knows his mommy loves him and is always there. Rewarding. That's how I would describe my job. I love that I have been there for all of Tayler's firsts and always will be.

Now about Tayler. For his birthday today I am making his favorite food, chicken noodle soup, and he is staying in his pajamas all day! Whatever he wants to do, he gets! He loves balls and puppys the most out of everything right now. We have just introduced him to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, which he loves to dance to!
He eats everything now. I haven't found a food he won't eat. He still only has 4 teeth, but number 5 is on the way! He walks with the help of toys and furniture, but still not alone. Any day now! He says mom, dad, bottle, bye bye, and hi. All in his own way, of course. His 1 year doctor appointment is Friday, so I will post weight and other info then!
