Tayler weighs 12lbs 12oz. Which is only the 11th percentile...but still on track. he has finally doubled his birth weight. He is 24 inches long! With his weight being what it is, the weight/height ratio is crazy! He is super tall! He had no fever, no cold, and all of his "is he doing this" were right on track! The doctor was impressed at how strong he was and how well he stands and holds his head! The only "bad news" is that he has excema. This is not surprising, as it runs in the family. The Dr. wanted to eliminate dairy from his diet, so we switched to a soy formula. His rash or excema is a source of great stress for mommy! Daddy not so much. lol. If Tayler could talk he would say "oh mom! Just leave me alone!" Difference of boys and girls I suppose.
So the last bit of exciting news was that we can start Tayler on solids anytime! I am so excited for this. I am going to home make all his food for him. His first food will be an avocado!! Don't worry there will be lots of pictures and hopefully a video if daddy can figure out how to put one on here! I am going to wait and get him adjusted to his new formula first...so very soon!
Thanks for listening to me babble...here are some pictures!

OH OKAY!
Happy 4 Month Birthday little Tayler! You are as adorable as ever!
ReplyDeleteMisti I totally understand that complete love and adoration that you have for your child. I find that it grows every day. As he gets bigger and shows more and more of his personality he will get even more fun.
Good luck with the trying new foods. Congrats to you on trying to only feed him foods that you make. I wanted to let you know that you can find the best organic baby foods at Babies R Us that are in a pouch. For on the go...they are amazing! I used to eat whatever she did not eat since it was soooo good. But make sure that you only try one food at a time for a few days. More than likely he will not like things at first, but keep trying. Izzie HATED rice cereal but tried to eat it just becasue she wanted to eat solid foods. Our doctor did not want Izzie to eat anything but rice cereal until after she was 6 months. Have fun! He will spit more out than he will really eat at first. If you don't have a little food processer they made it so much easier to just puree whatever we were eating for Izzie. I also made her a lot of smoothies when she got a little older. I would just freeze them and defrost single servings. Those ziploc mini tupperware work wonderfully!!!
