I Am Potty Trained!

Last weekend, February 22, 23 and 24th daddy and I did a 3 day potty training boot camp. My friend sent me this amazing plan that guaranteed your kid to be trained within the 3 days if you followed it exactly. Which we did and it was not easy. Friday morning I took his diaper off and put on underwear and off we went. It was all day Friday and until 4 on Saturday of taking him to the potty every time he had an accident. I felt like I spent two days on the bathroom floor and I think I said the words "tell mommy when you have to go potty" literally a thousand times. :) This plan makes you throw away all your diapers on day one and you also don't use pull-ups, even at night time. So since Saturday around 5pm Tayler has been fully potty trained with no accidents! Even when we run errands or go visiting he tells me he has to potty! I am so proud of him and sometimes I still think its weird to see him run to the bathroom! Such a big boy! Just thought I would share the news! All the stickers on the wall represent every time he went to the potty. (I moved them all to the paper) lol he also got jelly beans and cars as rewards. I think he enjoyed all attention and prizes. :) The first picture is him surrounded by his prizes. Silly boy....

29 Months and Valentines Day

Another month come and gone. It seems like every day goes by faster than the last. I have a strong suspicion that the routine of having a toddler has a lot to do with it. Our days are filled with eating, playing, visiting family, taking fun trips (like to the library) and naps. :) Tayler is a really good sleeper still. His nap times are my "re-charge" and "projects I can't get done with him awake" time. Oh boy does this mommy need those. Tayler is an amazing, active and silly boy. I love watching his personality blossom. He is my little buddy. He's gone through another big growth spurt height wise so he is now fitting into his 3T clothes. I've even started buying 4T. He is still a great eater and prefers healthy food to sweat treats. Awesome. He's in the process of getting one of his 2 year molars and it seems pretty painful for him. He's had some fever, nose congestion and sleeplessness with this tooth. Poor baby! Only three teeth left to go and this boy has a full set of pearly whites! I have to say he got his teeth pretty slow compared to most kids his age but we are almost there. Next step, potty training! I think he is ready. But I am taking some time to get used to the idea myself still. Tayler's big things right now are monster trucks, cars, books, dinosaurs, dancing and the ipad. :) His favorite shows are Dinosaur Train, Cars and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We haven't been doing anything exciting around here. Hiding from the cold and wishing for warm weather. We are ready to hit the parks. It's hard to believe a year ago we were in Florida enjoying Disney world. Time really does fly and it only makes me enjoy every second with my baby. Although he tells me he's not a baby anymore...I get to pull the mommy card and say that he will always be my baby. Love him so much! Enjoy the pictures.
