Tayler Dunlap: January 2013

It's hard to believe that 2012 is already over. We had a great year! Lots of memories and fun. It will take way too much effort to recap so I suppose you could look through the last year of blogs if you wanted to! But I will include a photo of Tayler in Jan. 2012 and one of Jan. 2013. :-) Tayler has blossomed into a little boy over the year. It's amazing to see him grow before my eyes and to know that I have the great role of being his mom. Tayler is still weighing around 28 pounds. His growth has been more in inches than weight. His clothes always get shorter before they get tight. He has the biggest feet and hands so those apparently grow fast too. haha. He is finally getting his last tooth. It's his bottom right eye tooth and it's been making me wonder if it was ever going to appear. But Daddy told me that that was his last tooth to come in when he was a little boy and it always took forever. lol. So much like his daddy. Twins really. I always joke that when daddy is at work I still get to hang out with him all day. lol. He's still a good eater although he occasionally gets picky. His favorite foods are pretty much the same but add Macaroni and Cheese to that list. He calls it "hot dog..cheese.." I only feel good about that because we buy organic mac and cheese and pure beef, no nitrate or msg hot dogs. But he still only gets it as a treat. :) I did make him some cookies this Christmas that he really enjoyed. His first time eating a cookie. He's getting good at stringing words together and knowing more words. His pronunciation is amazing for a 2 year old. Tayler has a very good memory and remembers more things then I do. He reminds me of things all the time. His new favorite show to watch is Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He loves to dance to the music and sing to it. He wears his Jake pajamas and pretends he's Jake. It's very cute. Tayler used to call me "mama" but his new way to address me is as "mommy." lol I love it. I think it's because daddy calls me that. He changes so much every day.

We had a very good Christmas. Tayler enjoyed seeing all the family and he got so many gifts. Daddy and I got him a ford truck powerwheel. It was so fun to watch him on Christmas when we brought it out. He loves all his presents and spends a little time each day with all of them. Thank you to anyone reading this for his gifts! :) I loved creating a magical Christmas for him and look forward to doing it every year for him! Our new years was good too. We went sledding with his cousins over the weekend and he really enjoyed it. Tayler has two big new years resolutions, one is to start sleeping in his big boy bed and the second is to get potty trained. I am in no big hurry for my baby to grow up more though, so we will be patient and work at them slowly. I know I say this a lot but I love being Tayler's mommy. It's the best job in the world.
