26 months. Halloween and Thanksgiving

Wow! I'm a little behind this month. That's about how the holiday season goes though, plus we both were sick with the flu for almost two weeks. Tayler is doing great. He gets bigger everyday! He still weighs around 28 pounds and has gotten a little taller. He won't stand still long enough for me to measure him or take pictures. lol. We are spending a lot of our time visiting family, shopping, going to story time at the library and relaxing at home. All indoors....because winter has finally arrived here. We really miss being outside at the park. So I've had to get creative and come up with lots of fun activities for winter. Play-dough is one of his new favorite things. (He still loves his cars too.) He also likes to color and play with stickers. Tayler is speaking in half sentences now, mostly three to four words put together. It's so fun to have him talk and copy everything we say. :) He has a really silly personality and loves to joke around and make people laugh. Him and daddy like to tell jokes together. He is so sweet and so polite. He always says hi, bye, please, thank you and love you. He loves all his family and always wants to go visit someone. He has special names for everyone. For example he calls his grandmas "cracker" which is hilarious. He came up with that one all by himself. Grandpas are papas. A couple of his aunties are "t t" and "ne ne" He calls cats "meow meows" fruit snacks are "inahs" and I am mama and daddy is dada. Although daddy has him saying "hi mom!" to me now. It sounds to funny. We are doing really good with his new allergies and haven't had any allergic reactions since this summer. He's been having dairy occasionally, mostly cheese, and he does great with it. Halloween was really fun this year. He dressed as a pirate and actually left his outfit on. We just took him to all his Grandparents in town. It's always fun to see everyone all in one night. We collected lots of candy but mommy and daddy ate that. Tayler ate the raisins and fruit snacks he was given. :) I love his eating habits. We also had a great Thanksgiving with all daddy's family. Tayler enjoyed playing with his cousins! Neither of us ate much since we were sick though. So far he is enjoying all the Christmas decorations. And let me tell you, he has some pretty awesome gifts coming his way for Christmas! I love this age because it's so interactive and he's becoming this little boy with his own personality! We are enjoying looking at Christmas lights, we've been watching Christmas movies and soon Tayler will get to try some yummy Christmas treats. I have always loved the holidays but with Tayler they are even better! Happy Holidays everyone!

25 months

Wow. That passed me by.... I just remembered today to update his blog. Oh well. That means we are busy having fun and growing up. :-) Since Tayler's second birthday he has doubled his vocabulary!! He still is not full out talking but as his mommy I can understand everything he wants and says. He's probably taller and definitely looks more and more like a little boy. Its sad but I really love this stage. It's fun to be able to communicate with him and watch him play and interact on his own. This month we took a little trip to Denver and went to a pumpkin farm, the broncos game and an allergist. Ha, yeh great combination. Tayler got to pick his own pumpkin and he loved the football game! We took him to a pediatric allergist while we were there. This guy is one of the top ten in the U.S. Don't get grossed out by this picture. They did the skin testing and it wasn't bad for Tayler at all, it just looks bad.

So we found out that Tayler is allergic to tree nuts, peanuts, soy, eggs and shellfish. For environmental he is allergic to cats, dogs, bermuda grass pollen and house dust. The right size of his back starts with cats at the top and then the bottom right are the nuts. They made us get an epi pen for him because of his nut allergy. I had some idea he was allergic to nuts but I had no idea is was so severe. The good news is that he has no allergy to milk and milk protein! Yay! He had his first grilled cheese sandwich the other day and I am going to try yogurt as soon as I see he's okay with the cheese. It's just nice to know exactly what he is allergic to. It's so much easier to plan his food now. Well, other than that we've pretty much been doing the same thing around here. Trying to enjoy the last of the nice weather before the snow starts next week! Enjoy the pictures!

2 YEARS OLD!

Happy Birthday Tayler! We had a great birthday party. It was outside at a park and the weather was beautiful! Everyone that came had a great time and enjoyed the Hot Wheels theme. Tayler especially appreciated that there were cars everywhere. Tayler isn't a fan of cake and so for his party I made rice crispy treats. He loved his and it made me happy to see him enjoy his birthday "cake." I still can't believe that he is 2. It seems so grown up and in my mind he's still my little baby. At his 2 year appointment he weighed 26 pounds (25th percentile) and was 34 inches tall (36th percentile). He made the switch from the baby scale to the big boy scale, which was so fun to see. The doctor said he was healthy and was growing the perfect amount. YAY! Tayler's favorite things are still cars, trains and monster trucks! We still love playing outside and I'm not looking forward to being stuck inside all winter... Tayler is still an amazing eater in how much he eats and what he eats. We have had such a fun year. Watching him grow is amazing and sad. I am glad I get to be there for every second. He is starting to talk more and more. I love hearing his new words every day. He is a sweet healthy little boy! Happy Birthday T, momma loves you! These are pictures from his party and some of his 2 years photos.
