Christmas 2011

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas! I apologize for the small amount of posts recently. As we all know the holidays are a very busy time for everyone. Especially, it seems, with a little one around.

Tayler turned 15 months on December 14th. His doctors visit found that everything was perfect. :-) He weighed the exact same from his 12 month visit, which I guess is normal. But he grew an inch and a half! He is 65% for height. He is long and skinny and has big hands and feet. Kinda like a puppy. :-) Tayler still only has five teeth, which I think is crazy. It doesn't slow him down at all though. He hasn't got a new tooth since he was 11 months old. I really hope they don't all decide to come at once. Or maybe I do. Anyways, he's doing great. He's had his fair share of colds this winter though and that's frustrating but a normal part of being a baby. He's an expert walker and almost ready to run. He still loves puppies and books and Mickey Mouse. His new thing is cars. He's really good at sound effects, just like his daddy. His favorite foods are blueberries, smoothies and pancakes. He can say about 15 words, his favorites being Mom, Dad, more, boo and hi.

This Christmas was spent with the Dunlaps. It was full of fun, laughter and the sounds of 5 grandkids! Tayler had a lot of fun with his cousins! He also enjoyed opening his presents and playing with the toys. He's at a cute curious stage right now so Christmas was fun for him. He got some great gifts! Books, car toys, a Tebow jersey (the real thing), a tool workshop, movies, a chair, some Nike shoes, a homemade hat and so on! I took some pictures of him with most of his toys. We also were able to visit Santa this year. The picture is cute, but right afterwards Tayler wanted as far away from Santa as possible! Although he did walk around saying "Ho, Ho, Ho" all day long. He also is really good at singing, "Fa la la la la" Well, I think that catches you up! Things at the Dunlap house are winding down from the Holidays and ready for a new year! Enjoy!

                                                      The work station. Really cool!
                                                             His new chair from Santa
Literally playing in the toy box

Happy Thanksgiving!

Tayler's second Thanksgiving was a success. :)  It's fun when he can participate more and this year he actually got to eat some turkey and sat at the table with everyone. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Here are some new pictures. We have one of the same pose of the three of us from last Thanksgiving, if you look at the post from last November, you can compare.

I'M A WALKER!

Tayler is walking!! This weekend he decided that he was tired of crawling and now he walks. lol. It caught me by surprise and I keep forgetting to tell everyone. He is really good already. And fast. And sneaky. And he can reach higher. And he gets into more. And....mommy is tired of chasing him already. Really though, I am so proud of him and glad that he finally reached this milestone. I would say he officially started walking November 5th, so that makes him 13 months and 3 weeks. Tayler is doing great in swimming class. He still cries a little but I don't mind. He kicks really well now and was the best in his class today when they practiced entering and exiting the pool. I know he enjoys it, he's just a silly boy. I made a new friend in class so its been good for me too. Recently I've been babysitting every Friday and this is really Tayler's first time around a big group of kids. It's fun to watch him mingle and play. I can really tell that he is an only child, so I think that it will end up being very beneficial for his social skills! Tayler is already enjoying all the holiday lights and music, so we are looking forward to a fun Christmas this year! I am interested to see how long the tree stays upright. :-) We are getting our Christmas card picture done next week with the bunny included! I hope it turns out cute!! Well, that's all from the Dunlap house! Ta Ta for now!! (I've been watching too much Winnie the Pooh!)

I couldn't get the video to load today. A picture will have to do. ;-)

Lovely Fall

Hey everyone! Things are going well at the Dunlap house! We almost have a walker on our hands! He is taking his sweet time but that's fine with me! We started swimming lessons last week too. The first day was a little rough but the second day he loved it. All the kids in his class are pretty little, so we are learning just the basics. Floating on back and tummy, blowing bubbles, getting in and out of the water and playing with toys. It has been pretty fun so far. I think he has a couple more teeth on the way. Let's see what else....he is doing great overall. Getting big, silly and so so sweet! Here are some pictures with pumpkins that I took. Today we are going to carve those pumpkins so more messy pictures to come! Tomorrow is halloween, crazy, so there will be pictures from that too. We don't officially "celebrate" it but Tayler is going to dress up as a knight and go see all his great grandparents, grandparents and aunts and uncles that live in town. Anyways, here are the pictures! Hope your Fall is lovely!

Indian Summer

Tayler and I have really enjoyed these warm beautiful days! We have taken to park hopping! Every afternoon we search out a new park and play away. It's been fun for us both. Tayler is doing very well. He gets bigger every day and I never seem to have enough food in the house. He is very close to walking! He is also starting to develop a personality and let me tell you, he is a funny little boy. Daddy and I laugh at him all day! Anyways, things are well here at the Dunlap house! Here are some pictures.
